About Lake Superior Natural Places:
I first saw Lake Superior when I was five years old. It was
foreboding just like they had told me. It was "that dangerous cold place
to the north". We spent our summers on a lake in the upper peninsula of
Michigan and though only 40 miles away, Lake Superior was not where the
family went for a Sunday afternoon swim.
The vision of the Lake stayed with me, and when I grew up I migrated to
The North Shore in a very natural way.
